Phosphor is a native Swift menu bar suite for macOS, being built by a solo developer to eventually replace the handful of separate utilities most Mac users juggle for their displays. A foundational set of tools is free today, with Pro unlocking additional capability. Pro currently includes Flashbang Protection, which catches the brightness spike when switching from a dark app into a bright one and eases it back down instead of blasting you, with more Pro features planned as the suite grows. Phosphor is closed source, but being developed with a public roadmap and shaped by user feedback.

Background

The idea started with menu bar clutter, one too many separate utilities crowding the same small space, and a problem I didn't see anyone else tackling in one place (Flashbang Protection). As Phosphor grows, the free tier will represent a smaller share of the full suite, while Pro expands to cover more of a Mac's display needs. Early Pro buyers receive future Pro features free or at a reduced price, detailed on the site's roadmap.
