Philosophy
Too many apps. Too much to learn.
There are a lot of Mac screen utilities. Most have long settings pages and a steep learning curve. Most people use a handful of the features. We start there. We find the features people actually use and make them good.
Built from what people use.
We collect two things. The features people use every day. And the features people need but cannot find. Phosphor is the small set of both, shaped by what people tell us.
A problem worth solving: the flash.
You switch to a bright window in a dark room and the screen flashes at you. We looked for an app that handled this and could not find one. So we built Flashbang Protection.
People wanted more. We delivered.
Once people started using Flashbang Protection, they told us they wanted it to cover more switches. So we built that. It now works across desktops, Mission Control and App Exposé too.
Built in public.
We share what we are working on and ask what you think. See what is next, and tell us what you want.
